Unable to save files
« on: October 11, 2009, 08:09:09 PM »
I just purchased the Mac OS X version and have not been able to save changes to any files

When I open a file, it shows as read only - when I change the status to RW, I get
"Unable to update user write permissions for the file"

Status shows RW and I am able to make changes, however, when I try to save the file, I get ( after the Save Failed dialog )
"Failed to change file permissions. Check to see that you have access to the owner or group of this file"

I am the owner of the file, and all permissions are wide open ( -rwxrwxrwx ).

I have been using slickedit on a Solaris platform for many years and have overridden file permissions using this feature
literally thousands of times without an issue.

With the permission set as they are I shouldn't have to override anything.

Anyone have any ideas? - Thanks.
