SlickEdit 13.0.2.0

I've recently moved to Win 7 64 bit, installed cygwin and SlickEdit and am using c:\cygwin\bin\ssh as my ssh executable for FTP ssh/sftp configuration. Whenever I connect to an sftp server a blank, black command window pops up. Not the end of the world but annoying. I don't see any configuration option that mentions this so I assume I have to live with it, but it wasn't doing this under XP.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I ran into the same thing on Win7. (I was using it for Subversion svn+ssh) I wish I had a quick workaround for you that uses the Cygwin, but I ended up throwing in the towel and using Putty/Plink to replace Cygwin ssh.

After a little digging, this problem is specific to Windows 7. It might be specific to the 64-bit edition but I have not tested that.

The good news: It does not interfere with your ability to use SFTP in SlickEdit. It is just unsightly.

The bad news: This is not hot-fixable.

The good news: This will definitely be fixed in v15.
