auto open for files with bookmarks
« on: December 17, 2009, 04:20:57 pm »
Hi,
Is there a method of automatically opening files with bookmarks?

Scenario:
many project files open
a small number have bookmarks
close all files
Bookmark Tools Window displays the files and bookmarks
the only method to go to these bookmarks seems to be double clicking each unique file in the list
Once a file is open, F2 (Next Bookmark) will see its bookmarks
Is there a better way?
Thanks!

I did a quick mod on the double click handler for the bookmarks tree to do what you need.  I'm attaching the .e file to this post, just save it somewhere, open it in SlickEdit and type "load" on the command line.  You'll have 2 new commands:

next-tree-bookmark : moves to the next bookmark in the toolbar and opens the file if it's not open yet.  It cycles back to the top if it's at the end of the list.
prev-tree-bookmark : same thing, but backwards.

You can then bind them to keys if you like.
