multiple monitor last screen reset
« on: February 11, 2010, 02:54:52 pm »
When working with mulitple monitors, upon exit slickedit remembers last screen position so upon the next invocation the screen is presented on the last known position.
I use my HP laptop (windows XP Pro) both at work with multiple monitor setup, and at home with only my laptop.

If  I bring up slickeedit at home and the last position of the screen is "off-laptop" monitor", I cannot reposition screen back onto the laptop screen.

How do you reset slickedit to present screen onto laptop screen.

I've tried DOS command line, vs.exe +new, this just presents screen at last known position.
The fix is Slickedit should detect "off laptop" monitor not available and present screen to laptop screen.

SlickEdit does detect when a monitor is off and position within an existing monitor. I verified that this still works (I work with two monitors). I suspect that there may be a driver issue. The work around is to delete your vrestore.slk file in your configuration directory. That's where the position information is stored. This will work for tool windows as well.
