How to get SlickEdit error log
« on: June 17, 2010, 11:01:01 am »
Hi,all

I install slickedit-plugin (3.3.1)  in workbench 3.2 (basic eclipse 3.5.1),when I try to debug ,the workbench crashed. I check the error log and found it was the slickedit 's problem but the information in error log about the problem  is unspecific. How can I get specific error log about the slickedit .thanks

Are you sure you are using Core 3.3.1?  This is the error you would get if you were trying to run Core 3.5.0 with Java 5 or earlier...Core 3.5.0 has a dependency on Java 6.  Core 3.5.1 no longer requires Java 6.

Could you post the whole .log file here?  Can you also show me what SlickEdit plug-ins are listed on the Plug-ins tab at Help > About Eclipse SDK, Installation Details?  You can just sort by Provider and screenshot the dialog so that I can see anything that is provided by "SlickEdit Inc.".
