Color Coding for Strings in Powershell
« on: August 05, 2010, 05:46:05 pm »
SlickEdit 15.0.0.6 does not parse PowerShell strings properly. Powershell uses the ` character as the escape character, instead of the typical \. For example:

Code: [Select]
"This is a quote `" inside a string"
This should be a single string, but SlickEdit colors "This is a quote `" as a string, and then considers the 3rd quote to be the start of a new string. This can get very ugly, especially if there is more code on the same line.

I would even be willing to fix this myself, if someone can point me in the right direction.  Thanks.
