Using "wx-config" for include and library directories
« on: September 07, 2010, 09:45:37 am »
Hi

I am trying to compile a wxWidgets based C++ project using SlickEdit.  From the command line, I can issue a command using `wx-config -cxxflags` to get the system specific include directories.  If I use that in the project properties as an include path, it is expanded by SlickEdit but placed in double quotes, so the compile fails.

Please can someone enlighten me as to how I might make use of wx-config to specify the include and library directories?

Cheers
Rick

In the end, I gave up trying to use the 'wx-config' command and simply cut and paste the debug and release include, defines and libraries into the various compiler/linker options dialogues in slickedit.  It works fine and as a side effect, allows me to have different build configurations for different wx versions, so it's win-win all round.
