SlickEdit and xdebug - bad port
« on: October 07, 2010, 09:24:15 pm »
Hi all - long time SE user (10+ years and counting), but haven't done much php before, so I need a bit of help.

I tried setting SE up for xdebug using xampp on a windows machine, and things seem OK.  When I load a php page SlickEdit wakes up and starts to go into debug mode, but before it gets fully loaded it errors out with this dialog:

Error starting debugger: bad port

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but that error isn't helping me figure it out.   :P  This is on SE for windows.

I'm just loading the xampp phpinfo page like this:

I'm starting SE debugger not via project, but by debug | attach | xdebug and I put in the localhost and 9000 in the port.

Here's what I have in my php.ini file.

zend_extension = "F:\xampp\php\ext\php_xdebug-2.1.0-5.3-vc6.dll"

Here's my phpinfo output for xdebug
