How To Export Color Scheme?
« on: October 14, 2010, 01:22:42 PM »
Hello,
I use a custom color scheme, setup under Tools->Options->Appearance->Colors.

When I exported all of my options for use on a new laptop, the color scheme did not get exported.  How do I export it and then import it?

Thanks.

Hrm.  If you used Export All Options, it should have been in there.  When you go to Tools > Options > Appearance > Colors, do you see the scheme listed there?  I ask because it might have been exported, but not applied.

Would you mind sending me your export zip file?  You can send it to sgaskins (at) slickedit (dot) com.  If that doesn't work, we'll set up an FTP for you.

Export of menu customizations was added in v15, so you should be getting those.  You should have a file called userMenus.xml in your configuration directory.  Would it be possible for you to post it here?

Yup, that's where it would be.

Wait - are you talking about customizations to existing menus or menus that you have created?  I realize now that I may have been confused about what you were asking.  If you are asking about menus that you have created, then that capability is not in v15 or v15.0.1.  However, it has already been added for v16, due out next spring.

That's probably not the news you were hoping to hear.  Sorry.
