How do you set the color for the edit pane?
(The edit pane, as I understand, is the area behind your editing windows)
Mine is currently gray. The problem for me is when I re-size my windows I cannot see the outline.

On Windows XP you can set this in the display properties dialog on the appearance tab - click the advanced button and select the "application background" item. Or you can turn on "show window contents while dragging - in the display properties appearance tab, click the "effects" button. Don't know about other OSs.
