Slickedit 2010 Linux - Search results
« on: November 14, 2010, 10:57:04 pm »
Hi,
Is it possible in Slickedit to show the entire line in the search results window ?
The default behavior does not help anyone.
For example if you search for PWR, the search results will just have
<lineno1> PWR,
<lineno2> PWR,
<lineno3> PWR,
apart from the filename. If it can list the entire line where it saw the match
it would be great. Kind of like the results of grep.
Also can it filter search results in linux ? Is it possible ?

The filename should start a section, and then instances like you listed will follow.  Pressing enter or double clicking on one of those lines will take you to that instance.  Does this help?

When I do a search, the entire line does show in the search results window, with the search term highlighted. Are you only seeing the search term in your results window, and not the rest of the line?
