XML files open in unicode font

XML files are opening in a unicode font, though I desire the same fixed width font I use in all my C++ source files. I haven't been able to find a setting to change this?

Have you tried Options > Appearance > Fonts > Element > Unicode Source Windows?

I think there is an option somewhere to control the encoding used in XML files, and make them use SBCS instead of Unicode.  Maybe it is Options > Languages > File Extension Manager (select "xml" and then change the Encoding).
