SlickEdit 15 does not seem to handle leap-year detection
« on: March 02, 2011, 11:46:52 AM »
This morning (2 March) I started SlickEdit, which immediately crashed, reporting an error in Datetime.ex. This continued to happen over a number of attempts. With the help of a colleague (who could read the code in Datetime.ex, because he could open SlickEdit - and Notepad gave me nothing legible), we determined that SE was checking when it was last opened, which was yesterday, 1 March, but it didn't seem to be able to tell whether it was 1 March or 29 February.

I told my machine that today was 3 March and started SE, which worked. I stopped and restarted SE and it worked again, then I reset the clock to 2 March, and again SE opened.

I then went into my calendar and reset all the notifications which went off because it thought it was tomorrow.

Hope this helps, and I hope it's fixed by next year.
