Context Tagging on namless unions
« on: April 26, 2011, 04:51:17 am »
Hi,

First, I'm using VS 13, I know my bad.  Context Tagging seems to get confused by nameless unions in C (a Microsoft extension).  I was going to try the VS16 Beta to see if it works, but alas I didn't buy the maintenance so can't.

Does anybody happen to know if this was fixed?

Context tagging also got all confused by SAL annotation in WDK headers (I do kernel work).  I was able to add what I needed to usercpp.h, but wondering if that's being addressed in V16.

Thanks,
David

At least built-in SAL support will be greatly improved in v16. See this post from Dennis.

I can also add that we fixed some bugs with nameless structs and unions.  A specific example would help though.
