SE 2011 Issues
« on: May 13, 2011, 04:56:43 PM »
I recently upgraded from SE v15 (2010) to SE v16 (2011).

So far, I am having the following issues:

1. Every time I open SE, I get two error windows.  The first is a popup window and states "Invalid argument file=MenuCustomizationHandler.ex offset=2983".  The second is a SE stack message with the message posted at the end of this post.  When SE opens, it opens my last project file.  Closing and then reopening the project file does not produce these errors.
2. Every time I open SE, my Perforce configuration does not get initialized.  Closing and then reopening the project file initializes Perforce correctly.
3. Every time I close and then reopen SE, my custom menu goes away.  My custom menu calls some macro functions, and is placed on the _mdi_menu. I have re-added my menu commands several times.  Each time, the menu heading remains, but all menu items are removed when SE is closed.

Thanks for the help.

SE stack message:

The stack has been reported and will be fixed with the first revision of the v16 hot fix.  1 and 2 are probably the same issue.  I will update this thread when the hot fix has been posted, so you can verify if it fixes your issue.

Cannot speak for the Perforce issue, but I'll make sure someone who can sees this thread.

You are using the 32-bit version, correct?

OK.  Had to ask.

Now I have to ask this: Are you sure it is not initialized?  I have seen instances where the project toolwindow just didn't refresh for some reason.  Have you tried menu items?

Are the items on the Version Control menu enabled?

The cumulative v16 hot fix now includes fixes for your menu issues - both the stack and the loss of your custom menu.  Get the hot fix here:  http://www.slickedit.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=293.
