Native Mac Support for 2012!

Dear SlickEdit users,
 
Thank you for your continued loyalty and support as we continue to evolve and improve SlickEdit.  We are excited to announce that our next version (v16.1) of SlickEdit for Mac, scheduled for release in 2012, will use the Mac's native Aqua interface, eliminating the need to install X11.  Registered owners of any Mac version of SlickEdit will be entitled to a free upgrade to the native Mac version.  We will notify you as we get closer to being ready for any beta testing.

Not a Mac user at this time, but I gotta say, Congratulations! for having the courage to do the hard stuff necessary to make a native Mac version possible.
Any possibility you'll select a multi-platform GUI library that will provide transparent native feature support on all your supported platforms?

About time, but too little too late for me - I've moved on to a slow Java based IDE with real support for Ruby, Rails and Flex and is Mac-native enough for me. I still use SE 2010 for extra things it is good for, but am constantly hitting bugs. Hopefully the renewed focus on the Mac version will solve many of these issues, but there is so much ground to make up to make it truly competitive...

Great news!  Thank you, SlickEdit team!  Having a native Mac interface will be much appreciated.

Now I finally have a reason to hope the Mayans were wrong about December 2012.

This news single-handedly justifies this year's (and further) maintenance cost, I was very pressed to find further justification given the state of SE on Mac, but this changes everything.  Very, very glad of this decision.

By the way, I'm finding SE16.0 significantly better on Mac than the latest SE15. Great to see the Mac getting the attention it deserves

AWESOME!!!!!

currently I run VMWare Fusion with Windows XP on my Mac solely because I'd rather use the Windows version than the X-Version. Literally that's the only thing I run in Fusion. :-p

Looking forward to Native OSX Slickedit
