Wiki for slickedit
« on: July 09, 2011, 01:26:58 AM »
Is anyone interested in a Wiki for slickedit?

This would be like a user generated help file for slick.

Is there enough info that's not covered by the help file to make a wiki worthwhile?  I'm not really sure.  I find searching the forum to be slow, lacking capability and not especially reliable.

Would enough people contribute to make it useful?  I'm not motivated enough to start one myself and it should really be on slickedit's servers anyway.

I certainly think a wiki would be a good idea...

FOr me personally, having 'recipes' of sorta to 'properly set up a autoconf built library' to work well with Slick, and similar type things would be very useful.. Right now, I use Slick strictly as an editor, and not the build/debug stuff that its capable of..

Searching the forums can be somewhat painful in this regard when you're looking for answers..

Great idea... I can see it being extremely useful for custom macros and even just basic "getting started."
