Missing html.vtg and python.vtg
« on: July 25, 2011, 11:12:32 pm »
I just upgraded to 16.0.1, and whenever I hit Ctrl-. on a keyword, I get a couple dialog boxes complaining about missing html.vtg and python.vtg.  Sure enough, they're missing:

$ ls -l ~/.slickedit/16.0.1/tagfiles/
total 9272
-rw-r--r-- 1 b04825 sysperf 9494528 Jul 25 13:34 uslickc.vtg

How do I fix this?

Try bringing up the Tag Files dialog (Tools>Tag Files). If the offending tag files are in the list, then try doing a "Remove Tag File" on them.

I don't want to remove those files, I want to recreate them.

The idea is that they are in the list but do not actually exist. Please try removing them given the instructions already posted. They should get regenerated automatically the first time you perform an operation that requires tagging.

I'll try it, but aren't these two files supposed to exist?  They exist in my 16.0.0/tagfiles directory.  Why are they missing?
