'Lock' the Toolbars for any change? 'Undo' toolbar changes?
« on: January 24, 2012, 07:16:34 AM »
Sometimes I managed to accidentally mess up something with the toolbars I did not really want. Perhaps by a bad aimed click and swipe or something. Sometimes this happens, more often if I am in a hurry to do things fast.

I did not found a "toolbar lock feature" which prevents moving toolbars, unlock them and things like that, during normal editing.

Or, perhaps, an "undo" for toolbar changes would do it. But I did not found this either.

Does these features exist already (SE 16) - or are they planned?

If you mess up the toolbars accidentally it is annoying to correct this to the favorite layout.

It is an outstanding feature request. I have added your name to the list.

Another possible solution might be to allow us to save various layouts, and then restore them.  This would be handy in other situations as well.  For example, I rarely edit web languages, but when I do, I like to have additional toolbars.  The toolbars take up to much space to just leave up always.  Similar to how the layout is different for debug sessions.
