Automatically upload local file to FTP on save?
« on: March 23, 2012, 09:18:09 pm »
I would like files in a local project to automatically upload to FTP when saved.
I have an active FTP connection with default local and remote folders specified.

However:
If I open the local file from my project manager, when I save: It does not offer to upload to FTP.

If I open the file via "Open local files as FTP", when I save: It updates both the local and the remote file, but prompts me every time for ascii or binary mode, adding multiple extra steps to both opening and saving the file. I might as well just save locally and use FileZilla to upload.

If I open from the FTP menu (by double-clicking), when I save: It updates the remote file and defaults to binary mode (yay), but it does not update the local file (boo).

Version:
Slickedit 14.0.2.2 for Windows

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but a while back, I needed a way to save to two places, local and a sftp area. Here's how I solved it:
