Issue: The mouse scroll wheel becomes unresponsive after checking out a perforce file.
Platform: Win7-64
Release: 2012 (v17.0.0.8 32-bit)

Steps to Reproduce
  • Open a perforce file in SlickEdit.  Notice that you can scroll up and down the buffer using the mouse's scroll wheel
  • Checkout the file opened in step 1.  Tools->Version Control->Check Out  and then select "CheckOut"
  • Press the up and down cursors keys.  Notice that the buffer cursor moves up and down.
  • Scroll the mouse wheel.  Notice nothing happens.
  • Select "something" outside of the buffer and then select the buffer again.
  • Scroll the mouse wheel.  Notice the buffer scrolls up and down once again.

Hmm..use spyxx and check if there are child win32 windows. I'm wondering if we missed a case.

Thanks

@Clark: Seems that there are a few focus problems left in v17 RTM. Please also see this report.
You can move the cursor in the edit win although it's colored 'inactive' and you can't enter something.
