BRIEF keymap in Slick Edit
« on: January 11, 2007, 03:28:08 pm »
Hi,

I'm new to Slick Edit. I'm very used to using BRIEF keymap when I was using CodeWright. Can Slick Edit do the same? If yes, how do I set up the environment to recognize BRIEF?

Thanks.

Welcome to the Brief-Emulation users club ;)

see 'Tools->Options->Emulation' and select 'Brief'
adopt specific key bindings: 'Tools->Options->Key Bindings'

I'm another member of the Brief-Emulation club...

I have a question for fellow club members...

I use Slick on a MacbookPro... Like most notebooks, it doesn't have a keypad..  So what keys do others re-assign for the copy to buffer and delete to buffer commands?

Mac notebooks are even more interesting, as there's no Insert key (that I've found)

I currently use:

copy to buffer: F12
delete to buffer: F11
Insert buffer: F1

I added these add. shortcuts (extended CUA style) for that 'vital' things...

copy-to-clipboard: CTRL-Ins
append-to-clipboard: SHIFT-CTRL-Ins
cut: SHIFT-Del
append-cut: SHIFT-CTRL-Del
