SE 2012: Error opening file when no edit panes exist
« on: June 12, 2012, 07:15:55 PM »
Hello-

When I do a gui-open when there are no windows currently open (SE 2012, 64-bit, Windows 7), I get the following error:

Code: [Select]
Control -opencd referenced but does not exist
tbopen.ex 7948 _tbopen_form._file_name_filter.enter()   p_window_id: 60   p_object: OI_FORM   p_name:

If I gui-open the same file when I already have edit panes open, the error does not occur.

Program information file attached. Let me know if any further detail is required.

Thanks
Baker

I have the same problem.  I've opened a support ticket for the same issue.  A workaround for me is to double click on the file name that is matched, instead of pressing enter while in the file name search field.

I've reproduced this one and am working on a fix.

This will be fixed in the first hotfix for v17.  Thanks for reporting it!

In case anyone else is reading this thread, this bug only occurs if the open tool window is floating which is not the default.
