Delay on mouse actions in SE Linux
« on: September 26, 2012, 10:28:06 PM »
Scrolling with the mouse wheel can have a lag/delay of several seconds (there are times when it doesn't lag, but it seems that most of the time there's a delay).

There is also often a delay when clicking in the editor window to move the caret.  This problem occurs less often, but still frequently enough that it's very irritating.

The Linux machine is a VMware VM, however I don't think this is the reason for the problem since other editors do not have it.

Any ideas at what I should look at to fix or diagnose this problem?

Running SE 17.0.2.0 on Ubuntu11.04.

Turns out that these mouse delays are because of the "vs_exe" window problem I posted about in another thread (http://community.slickedit.com/index.php/topic,8643.msg37009.html#msg37009).  If I run with a clean config, there's no mouse performance problem.

So, no problem anymore...
