Open files that begin with "." on Mac
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:54:39 pm »
In SlickEdit 2012 for Mac, how do I get the Open File dialog and the Open tool window to show files in my home directory that begin with a "." such as .profile and .bashrc so I can open them?  These files do not show up when I look at my home directory in the open dialogs.

Thanks,
Rob

Go to the Tools > Options dialog, and in the Appearance > General section find the setting named "Show Hidden Files". This only affects SlickEdit-authored windows, like the Open tool window. To show these in native file open/save dialogs, you'll need to type Command+Shift+Period after the dialog comes up.
