Question about SE regex and Build Error Parsing
« on: February 05, 2013, 08:02:58 pm »
I'm looking for a way to get my cursor to column 1 when clicking on build errors.

Given the SE help on Configuring Error Parsing->Error Expression Groups:
#0 is path\file
#1 is line
#2 is column
#3 is error text

My regular expression looks as follows:
Code: [Select]
^{#0?*}\({#1:i}\) *\: {#3?*$}With a normal output looking like follows:
Code: [Select]
Building configuration: Workspace - Project
Updating build tree...
C:\path\file2.c(649) : Error[Pe020]: identifier "test" is undefined
C:\path\file2.c(650) : Error[Pe065]: expected a ";"
Error while running C/C++ compiler

Total number of errors: 2
Total number of warnings: 0

Given my output, there is no column number and I don't know how to force #2 to 1. Anyone know how to accomplish this?
