Help: enabling autocomplete on-demand
« on: March 18, 2013, 10:12:05 pm »
I am relatively new to slickedit. I am trying to get the following behavior (in c/c++): by default, I want autocompletion turned off for function names. I want the balloon that shows function parameters and the function comments turned off. I also want autocompletion turned off for function parameters. But when I need it, I want all the three piece of functionality. I know how to do this for autocompleting function names (ctrl+space brings up the list of autocompletions), but I cannot figure out how to bring up the other two things (balloon with function params & comments from the function definition, and param autocompletion). Help!!!

I'm using the commands 'list-symbols' usually bound to ALT-<DOT>, 'function-argument-help' bound to ALT-<COMMA> and I've also bound 'autocomplete' to a key. Hope it helps.
