Slick-C error on SVN operation
« on: May 01, 2013, 02:22:23 AM »
I enabled SVN to peruse the new repo-browser facility, and get the slick-C error shown in the dialog whenever I do try a SVN op. Repo browse, history display, anything.

I then enabled SVN in SE17 and opened the same project as SE18 has open. SVN operations work fine in SE17.

Did you install the v18 beta in a separate location from v17?

Yes. I thought it might be some confusion over the 8.3 folder translation (since the ~/words folder also has vslick6.3 and vslick7.2 folders), but it's the only one that needs a mangled name.

What happens if you run "dload (path)\win\vccache.dll" on the SlickEdit command line, where "path" is the path to your SlickEdit installation (if you use our completion it will quote it properly for you).

Says "Failt to load DLL e:\words\Vslick18b\win\vccache.dll. File not found"

When I typed the command line I used the SE prompts for the file path and name (nice feature!), so the full path and name are what SE could see as I was typing it.

I think I see what is going on here.  Can you please PM me an email address so I can send you a new vccache.dll to try?
