Horiztonal scroll position is wonky
« on: April 30, 2013, 10:57:15 pm »
When I do a multi-file search, then I step thru the results, when the match starts in a colum more than X (Not sure what X is yet), Slick opens the buffer horizontally scrolled.
(Problem isn't limited to search - it will happen in other ways when slick has to jump to a line/column).

Currently the way I have Slickedit setup I get 275 columns.
The line the match is on is only 81 columns. The match starts on col 69 and ends on 77.
The max length of all lines in this file is only 109 columns.
The scroll bar appears but it is in a wierd state and disappears when I hit "home".

Slick should never horizontally scroll unless it must to keep the selected text visible.
Its very annoying when the left edge of the text gets scrolled offscreen.

More testing shows it happens even at column 30 to 33, but not at 27 to 30.

I'm pretty sure I reproduced this. I just split a window when the cursor is at a large column and get horizontally scroll for no reason. I bet this is related to the problem you're seeing. Annoying eh... Sorry, we will ge this fixed.

There are two different bugs. Yours was easy to fix. The split issue will take more time to fix.
