B4 bug: Import of menu changes failed
« on: May 23, 2013, 06:55:48 AM »
When importing settings from v17 my menu was missing and I got some of the entries in the main menu.
After creating the sub menu item in _mdi_menu with exact name as before and importing again, menus are now OK.

If you still have your v17 config directory, could you find a file within named "userMenus.xml" and post it here?  Thanks!

I migrated with that file and saw the same entries at the end of the main menu.

Can you be more specific about what you did to fix this for yourself?  It sounds like you edited the _mdi_menu in v18, adding the "Bamse" submenu.  And then you imported - using the Import Options capability?  Is that correct?

That is correct.
First the import after install failed.
Then i created "Bamse" and the import still failed
Then i created "&Bamse" and the import worked

All the times i did a import of all options from a ZIP file created by exporting all options from 17.0.2.0
