mcode matlab Language support
« on: January 17, 2007, 09:56:33 pm »

Wondering if anyone has done M-File support yet?  If not, is there examples of adding support for new languages that go beyond the syntax highlighting.  Can the tagging system work with new languages?

Currently, it brings up the ObjC module since .m is for Objective-C as well as M-files.

I, too, would like to see some Matlab M-file support in SlickEdit.  I have always thought about trying to do this on the side, but I never seem to find the time.  I think the first editor that supports Matlab files well (autocompletion, syntax checking, etc.) will find a real market in the scientific community.  If the editor also supports C/C++, Java, and Fortran, the editor might well have a monopoly on the market...  :)
