B7: Mac: Title bar has vestigial information
« on: June 12, 2013, 01:53:46 AM »
This might have been reported, but don't see a report for B7. I've only noticed this once and can't easily produce it. Looking at the title bar, it looks like it overlaid a slightly longer title. There is a vertical bar (remains of the letter F), a bit of space, the actual window title, a bit of space, and the right-hand remains of another letter, a lower-case t, because titles end with "- SlickEdit":

F FileWhatever.php - /full/path/FileWhatever.php - SlickEdit t

We have fixed some problems with the Mac title bar but beta 7 doesn't have the fixes. SlickEdit is supposed to show the file path with the context menu and doesn't always do so. There were other issues too. Saving a file that doesn't exist on disk doesn't work and the updating is incorrect depending on the options you chose for the document tab title.

Thanks Clark! It's a minor item, for sure, but figured you'd like to know of anything observed. I appreciate the update :)

Ed:
In your Options settings under Appearance > Advanced , what value are you using for "Always show full path in titlebar"?
