Small UI inconsistency: the "Apply" button in the Options dialogue should remain inactive (grey) in the currently open Options dialogue, unless the user really has an outstanding unsaved changed option. I know the "History" pane in Options indicates which options are changed (if any), but an indication in the status of the "Apply" button when there are no changes or all changes have been applied would be a nice improvement in the "fit-and-finish" UI department.

Good idea.  You should be able to tell if you have any un-applied changes by looking for starred items in the options tree.  But enabling the Apply button is a good way to convey that information without forcing the user to scroll the whole tree.

You're right, the stars are certainly there (thanks for reminding me), but my attention is usually on the content side of the options panel, and the active buttons cue is easier to see in that context.

If SlickEdit wanted to make things really fancy, the bottom 1/3rd of the tree column of the Options dialogue could be dedicated to a list box of shortcuts to currently changed/unsaved items.
