Problem de-selecting text
« on: June 09, 2013, 06:07:54 PM »
I created a new file and pasted in a 32 char string. I then did a ctrl-A.
I then wanted to append a new line char and add a second line.
There was no way to deselect the previous selection so any typing erased the entire line.
clicking within the string did not clear the selection.

Enabling cursor past end of line and click in virtual space seems to avoid the problem but shouldn't have to need this.

I was not able to place the cursor below the first line.

Thanks for the steps, I'll see if I can repro this. What emulation are you using?

FYI: If you ever again get into this state where you can't remove the selection with mouse or keyboard, activate the SE command line and execute the deselect command to force it.
