Save copy of local files via ftp/sftp
« on: February 15, 2016, 02:36:59 am »
I have a project which has its source files in a git repository local to my machine, but the test environment is on a remote server.  Currently every time I save a change, I have to remember to upload the saved files, which is an error prone process.

I see that the question has been asked before:

I just want to check that there is not yet a supported solution?

While you can edit and save FTP/SFTP files, there still isn't a way to add them to your project yet. Would definitely be a nice feature though.

If you use the FTP client tool window, you can set a local directory, and in Tools > Options > Network & Internet Options > FTP Default Options, you can specify to upload on save.

Granted, it isn't a project-specific option, but I think it should get you off the ground.
