Release Candidate (AKA Beta 8) Now Available
« on: June 13, 2013, 09:32:57 PM »
Thanks everyone for the testing, feedback, bug reports, and feature ideas. What we hope is our final Beta build is now available for download. We have a couple small issues we're still working on, but we are hoping to have the final "Gold" release available some time next week.

The AIX and HP-UX platforms are not currently available. They will be made ready shortly after the Gold release of the Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris platforms.

From the Beta 8 / Release Candidate Release Notes...

New MDI Architecture
- Enhanced the appearance of joined document tabs when titles are abbreviated.
- Fixed inconsistencies in document tab sorting.
- Corrected cases where extraneous close buttons would be created (and could interfere with) document tabs.
- Added initial support for Mac OS X 10.9's new multi-monitor fullscreen support. Floating tab groups can now be made full screen on Mac 10.7 and later.
- Introduced a new option for hiding common file extensions in the new document tabs.

Language Support
- Added a tag file for Matlab built-in symbols.

General
- Fixed cases where /// would not trigger document comment expansion.
- Better handling of files that contain corrupted Cr-Cr-Lf mixed line endings.
- Bug fixes for migration of Aliases and Aliases editing in the Options dialog.
- Fixed a Slick-C stack when switching between or resetting color schemes.
