Tag ARM Assembly
« on: October 06, 2013, 06:48:08 pm »

I'm trying to tag ARM assembly files in my project, but it is not recognizing any label in file (.s) even though looks like they are parsed.  What am I doing wrong?

I'm using SlickEdit 2012 (v17.0.3.0 64-bit)

Thanks

Graeme

In tools -> options -> languages -> file extension manager, check what association there is for the "s" file extension.  It looks like it defaults to IBM HLASM.  Try changing it to "intel assembly" and see if that helps.  I don't know which of the "assembler languages" that slick provides will most closely match ARM.  You could try creating a new language and derive it from intel assembly, then customise it.  In options -> languages -> language manager, click the help button for more information.

Unix assembly would be your best bet there.  Intel Assembly mode is for the windows nasm assembler.
