"Exiting with error: -125" when starting debugger
« on: November 23, 2013, 02:58:26 pm »
Hi all,

I am running SlickEdit 2013 (v18.0.1.2 32-bit) on Linux (kernel 3.4.1, architecture: i686).

I am unable to use the SlickEdit debugger, neither from the SlickEdit IDE nor from the command line directly,
each time "vsdebugio" is executed, it returns with
"Exiting with error: -125"

Executing

~/slickedit/bin/vsdebugio -help

works,

but

~/slickedit/bin/vsdebugio
Exiting with error: -125

does not.

Since "-125" is a rather unintuitive error description, what can be done to make the debugger work or further track down the problem?

Thanks,
Matthias

There's a chance it might correlate with the values in macros/rc.sh:

Code: [Select]
// Socket or address in use
#define SOCK_IN_USE_RC -125

Could that make sense here?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, it seems that there was another stale vsdebugio process around. After killing it, the mentioned error does no longer occur.
