mouse pointer disappears in black background slickedit 14.0.2.2

Hi,
This is with slickedit 14.0.2.2 in vim emulation mode. I recently reinstalled slickedit due to some issues and since then have been facing this problem. With a black background I don't see my mouse pointer anymore. I have to move the mouse to white backgrounded areas/text area in order to find its location. This is very annoying since it slows down my browsing/code due to constant mouse pointer hunt. Please advice.
