I am about to purchase a CNC milling machine. I am proficient in using a manual milling machine, but this will be my first time with a CNC mill. I am also purchasing cad cam/post processor software to feed the new beast, but I really want to be able to code my own .cnc programs. So, in preparation for this new adventure, I am teaching myself Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programming. I am a computer systems engineer, and I have been using VS for 20+ years. It would help if I could find a .cnc code template to help me along. Has anyone created or heard of a VS code template for .cnc G code program files?
