Title: highlighting parenthesis stuck on old parenthesis - beta4

I have SE configured to highlight matching parenthesis with red background color.

I have a pair of parenthesis highlighted in a python file currently.

But when I put the cursor near a different parenthesis, the highlight is till showing the old one, while Ctrl-] is toggling between the new pair of parenthesis.
