That's it. The Files tool windows is floating off the screen.
From the main menu, View > Tools Windows > Files is checked.
After I change the monitor resolution to 100%, I can see the dialog comes back to the second monitor. I drag it back and it works fine now.

« Last post by Clark on May 24, 2022, 11:07:16 pm »Could this problem be due to there being wildcards in this project AND the files being on a somewhat slow hard drive/remote machine?
If it is, you need v26 which stores a wildcard cache. That way, when you restart it uses the wildcard cache while it updates the wildcards on a thread.

Are you certain the focus is not just moving to the SlickEdit command line (at the bottom of the window)?
Do you have the Files tool window docked or floating?
If you have the Files tool window floating, is is possible that it is positioned off screen?
From the main menu, try View > Tools Windows > Files?
Is "Files" checked (indicating that it is active somewhere)?

« Last post by anhthengo on May 24, 2022, 08:58:15 pm »After rebooting, the problem comes back again. I don't think it is the Alt-B problem. I set Alt-B to Open Files from Project. So no matter if I do Alt-B or Select menu Project | Open Files from Projects, it still does the same thing, my Slick Edit just move out of focus.

Features and/or Improvements / Add a "light" theme

So --- either fix this problem when in system/light theme mode, or add a light theme.
I investigated doing this myself some time ago but I found there were a number of color settings not configurable to make it possible to create a light theme.
