Configurable profile location that doesn't depend on a command-line switch or an environment variable. For example, in Vista/Win7, AppData would be a more "appropriate" place for the SlickEdit config files than My Documents. However, as far as I'm able to discern, the reference to "%user%\My Documents" is hard-coded into the vs.exe (or a dll) binary.
