I was wondering if this is something that is already supported or is planned to be supported?

No, it wasn't on our radar.  I might be able to look at some basic editing and coloring support for v25, if I have time in my schedule.  In some ways it looks like extensions on some very JSON-ish syntax.

That would be awesome Patrick. While I do have IntelliJ IDE, I enjoy using slickedit since its lighter on resource usage and I like mixing it up .. :)

This is in for v26.  We'll ping this thread when the v26 betas come out so you can give it a spin.
