Reproduced.

There's a -keeptempfiles option for vsbuild, I'll double check and make sure we honor that for the argument files.

Thanks Patrick.
Would it be possible to add a debug flag to retain the temp files (arglists, batchfiles) to make it easier to track down build and debug-session problems?

Fixed for the next build.  My memory wasn't completely wrong, there was already some code for putting the files in a @argList at a certain limit, but it's hard to tell from the Build output, as it always logged it to the Build window as using the long form.  I changed that as part of the fix so you can see the real command line that's being run.

Thanks.

If for some reason you can't reproduce, one more note: These directories are shared between Windows and WSL1 (which is the native file system, not a VM like WSL2).  I guess it "is" mounted, but not a VM.
Basically, I edit in Windows SlickEdit and run in WSL1 Ubuntu.

There's a Source Diff button that will compare only code and ignore whitespace, reformatting, and comments.

Thanks for the steps, I'll be working on this.

Edit: "diff" on the SlickEdit command line.  Old school ;)

Fixed for BETA 2.  Thanks for reporting this.  I never use floating tool windows, so I would not have noticed the issue.

SlickEdit® / Re: How do I open a *.pbxproj to edit?
« Last post by Clark on August 03, 2021, 10:06:35 am »
Hot fix added for this. Added def_open_workspace_exts macro variable which you can manually set from "Macro>Set Macro Variable...". It contains a space delimited list of all the file extensions that SlickEdit considers a workspace file on invocation. You can set it to blank if you don't want any specified files to be opened as a workspace (a reasonable setting).

Default setting for def_open_workspace_exts is as follows:
Code: [Select]
.vpj .vpw .dsw .wsp .vcw .pbxproj .xcodeproj .xcode .xcworkspace .sln .jpx .flp Cargo.toml

Note that Cargo.toml is not a file extension but a name without path.
