I've used Brief since 1987 and then Slick edit since version 1 (1997?). My favourite feature is the windows and the ability to open and navigate with F1 - F4 (from Brief). Awesome facility and I couldn't do without it. I just upgraded from the 2012 version to your most recent 2025 version. The 2012 release was showing signs of strain and the multiple window handling was increasingly erratic. So I bit the bullet and upgraded.
Sadly, it looks like you've completely messed up the multiple window and tab mechanisms since 2012.
1) 2012 allowed multiple 'windows' to be open simultaneously with one set of file tabs. So, I can be in any window and click on a file tab to switch the window to that file. The latest version has one set of file tabs per window and they don't transfer to a new window created with F3.
2) The file tabs used to list every file I had loaded and I could use this to switch windows easily instead of hitting alt-B all the time
3) The file tabs are at the top and there's no way to move it to the bottom (which I prefer).
You used to advertise that Visual Slick Edit was the most configurable editor in the world (and back in 2012, it probably was). Now I can't even configure it to look and behave like itself.
Please allow me to configure the interface to behave like the 2012 version
