Title: Sort files listed in FILES tab by date?
Post by: rgloden on November 17, 2019, 03:20:09 am
It would be great if SE could sort the files in the Files tab by date like we can by Name and Path (and show the modified date in a column).

A possibility is the command fileman-list-buffers, then right click, sort by date.  Right click -> edit.

I agree a date in the buffers tool-window would be useful.

If you use "file tabs" and select sort order of "most recently viewed", when you close and restart slick, the file tabs appear to turn up in the order they were when you closed slick.  Even if file tabs aren't visible, slick seems to remember the order if you have "most recently viewed" selected.  I don't know if this is remembered per workspace or not - a quick test shows that it is.

I've added Date and Size columns to list_buffers.

Attached is my "tbfilelist.e" from Version 24.0.0.8, with my modifications.
