Hi,
Under mac, I use SE 2016 and my tabs are like screenshot 1
But under SE 2017 they are like screenshot 2
I cannot find where to "tweaks" them to be like under SE 2016
Anyone have a clue ?
Thanks
PS: In fact it's all "Headers" which are larger :(

We are trying to figure out how to reproduce this here.
Which version of macos are you on?
Is your display scaled (some resolution other than default)?
I wonder if you are missing the font we are trying to use for Document Tabs (Options>Appearance>Fonts, Document Tabs). Have you tried picking a different font for Document Tabs?
Finally, please start SlickEdit with a clean config using the -sc switch pointing to a non-existent directory. Does the problem reproduce?

OK so :
Mac OSX 10.12.6
My resolution is "More space" (Screenshots)
I change the font for a non missing font (Screenshots)
And if I use the -sc flag to use default config I have the same problem (Screenshot)

Don't know if it help, but if I use the 72px size, tabs change there size (screenshot)
But if I change the font size for 9px, it stay too big in height.
Finally I have the same configuration (OSx, Resolution, Font settings) in both SE 2016 and SE 2017.
But display is not the same.

And, I think, there is another bug on the "separator" betwen source code and associated header.
Under 2017 it is like screenshot 1, and under 2016 like screenshot 2
I really prefer the 2016's edition :)

What font and font size are you using?
Tools > Options > Appearance > Fonts > Dialog, Document Tabs

Menlo, 11

We replicated this and will look into it for you.

Both issues (too tall tabs/titlebar, combined tabs) are fixed in the next beta (TBA).
