Title: B6: Mac: Title bar not updating on tab switch
Post by: Ed Barnard on June 11, 2013, 12:34:38 PM
This one's minor. In switching between tab groups or possibly between tabs in a tab group, the title bar does not update to show the new file path. I have it set to show full paths. I then click back and forth between tab-group windows and it clears itself up.

Second minor issue.

Yesterday, at various times, I lost the mouse pointer. (Have not seen this before with B6). This seems to be part of the "mouse goes away while you are typing" feature. Trouble was, it didn't come back. SE was aware of the mouse pointer; I could move up and down the window to select lines "blind." I could get the mouse back by clicking back and forth between tab group windows.

Both are minor. I REALLY like the floated tab groups.

We had a cross-platform issue where tab and application title updates were getting out of sync, with messages coming in out of order. You should see that resolved in Beta 7.

Great!

I'm not sure how the beta program works in this sense: I hope I don't have to revert from beta back to SE 2012 for Mac until v18 production release. For me, that would mean reverting to the Windows version! B6 is awfully nice.

We may have one more Beta or "Release Candidate" release in the coming week or two, and our goal is that the final version of v18 be available no later than the end of this month. Your beta license should take you well into July if you have generated a new one recently.

Generated a new license, and the B7 upgrade went well. It did not retain tab groups (which seems reasonable), but did retain what files I had open in B6. When re-floating it remembered window sizes. When moving a window to the other screen, it appeared to adjust itself to the physical screen height. Very nice!
