Title: Project folder organization
Post by: kdavidson on July 12, 2011, 04:33:09 PM
I have a project that has lots of support files, but only a few that need to be changed regularly. I'd like to be able to segregate those support files into a subfolder under "Source Files" in the Projects window so I don't have to keep looking at them. I can create the subfolder, but the only way to get files into it is to define a filter. Since all the files under "Source Files" have a ".c" extension, is there any other way to get a select group of those files into the subfolder?

Thanks.

Hi Ken,

If you select the files in your Projects window, you should be able to right-click, select Cut and Paste them into the destination folder.

Hope this helps!

Genius. When drag and drop didn't work, I never thought to try it the old way. It does just what I want. Thanks very much.
